Wayward Ranch is closing and we need your help!

In 2016 we set out to create an animal rescue and sanctuary that would cater to the needs of animals in our local community, especially for animals with behavioral and medical special needs. We started out of our founder, Eleni's, home, one animal at a time and grew in the last nearly 9 years to save 550 lives; more than we could have ever dreamed.

While we had high hopes for Wayward Ranch Animal Sanctuary to continue on for many years as a permanent resource to help animals in need within our community, sadly it was not meant to be. Due to several factors (most significantly Eleni's health which will prevent them from continuing to run sanctuary are they have been) we’ve made the extremely difficult and painful decision to begin seeking immediate placement for the animals in our care and to close our rescue within the next 6 months.

How you can help Wayward animals!

This is of course an overwhelming undertaking as we work to find forever homes and sanctuary placement for 33 animals. When we took them into our rescue we promised they would be safe for the rest of their lives and we don't intend to break that promise now!

We need YOUR help now more than ever! View the powerpoint linked below to see our current list of animals in need of placement (updated daily) and please help us to share our animals with sanctuaries and adopters who may be interested in providing a forever home to an animal in need! Reach out to us at info@waywardranch.org with any questions or adoption inquiries.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years, we are so proud of all we have been able to accomplish for animals in our community with your help!

We are grateful to have had several wonderful photographers donate their time and skill to photograph our animals and their lives here. While many photos on our site were taken by WRAS Staff Members, others were taken by:
