Squish has come so far on his journey with Wayward Ranch! When he came to us in February he had been found as a stray with a badly broken tibia and fibula in his left hind leg, possibly from being hit by a car. After speaking with a surgeon we opted to give him a chance to heal with crate rest and regular splint changes with our veterinarian. It was a struggle for him and all of us to keep him calm and healing properly through the process.

Two months later and he is finally cast free and able to be a dog! Squish’s leg has healed well and he is now slowly increasing his activity. He was approved this week for long leash hikes on the property and soon we hope he will be able to play with other dogs and run free!

Squish has come so far and is now ready to begin accepting adoption applications! He will be neutered prior to adoption so he has a few more weeks with us before being ready to go home. We are looking for a home for him with kids over 13 as long as they are confident around high energy dogs who like to run full speed into legs!

He has done well with the other dogs in his foster home but will not be able to be fully dog or cat tested until next week at the earliest. Squish is anywhere from 8 months - 1 year old and has done beautifully with his crate and house training in his foster home. He would make a wonderful addition to the right family!
