Prescott & Leland

Prescott and Leland came to us when they and their brother (who has since passed away) were saved by a very kind delivery man who saw them suffering from severe eye conditions. He stopped and convinced the woman to whom he was delivering to allow him to bring the kittens to a rescue he knew. Luckily she agreed and we partnered with the rescue to bring the kittens to us and a loving foster home. Our vet has determined that their eye conditions were caused by their mother having feline herpes that she passed on to her kittens.

Prescott is the luckiest of the three kittens, in that her eyes are not as severe. There is a chance she will still need one of her eyes removed, but for now we are focusing on letting her grow strong enough for surgery. Leland will definitely need eye surgery to alleviate the pain she must be in, but will need more time to grow strong enough for surgery.

Once Leland and Prescott are old enough and have been spayed and had their eye surgeries we will be looking to adopt them out as a bonded pair to home without other cats. Stay tuned as we update their page!
