Once a Wayward Ranch animal, always a Wayward Ranch animal! We tell every adopter that if their adopted pet ever needs to return to our care they are welcome to. It is rare, but unfortunately sometimes the adoption is just not the right fit and that was the case for Hank. He was adopted to a loving family but they had several high energy kids and while he loved the kids, their energy level was just a bit much for him and would make him anxious. Over time that anxiety built up and he began displaying some behavioral concerns. The family sought training, but the best course of action was for him to return to us for us to work on his training and hopefully find him a new family that would be better suited for his needs.

We expect Hank to be with us 5-6 months before we will be ready to place him back up for adoption, and when we do so it will likely be to an adult only home. He is still a sweetheart who loves people and other dogs, he just needs to work on building his confidence and his trust in people. Then he will be ready to find his forever family!

We are grateful to have had several wonderful photographers donate their time and skill to photograph our animals and their lives here. While many photos on our site were taken by WRAS Staff Members, others were taken by:
