Unpaid Social Media/Marketing Internship

Wayward Ranch is a nonprofit animal sanctuary looking to bring on a social media/marketing intern for a 4-6 week internship in the summer of 2021. We are flexible and able to work with the intern on what start date, length of internship, and days/hours per week would work best for them.

The goal of this internship is to provide an opportunity for an intern to gain experience assisting with growing the social media of a nonprofit and building relationships with local media, businesses, and donors. This is an unpaid internship that would be beneficial for someone looking to pursue a career in nonprofit marketing/social media who needs hands on experience.

Internship Description:

  • Assist in photographing and videotaping animals to create content for social media and marketing documents.

  • Assist in creating social media posts on the following platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

  • Assist in creating and completing virtual fundraisers over social media.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with local businesses.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with local media outlets.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining relationships with donors.

This is an unpaid internship position.

Unpaid Veterinary Coordinator Internship

Wayward Ranch is a nonprofit animal sanctuary looking to bring on a social media/marketing intern for a 4-6 week internship in the summer of 2021. We are flexible and able to work with the intern on what start date, length of internship, and days/hours per week would work best for them.

The goal of this internship is to provide an opportunity for an intern to gain experience assisting in the veterinary care of a wide variety of animals at an animal rescue/sanctuary. This will include providing assisting in providing medical care for dogs, cats, small animals, horses, goats, and pot belly pigs, as well as keeping track of medical information. This is an unpaid internship that would be beneficial for someone looking to pursue a career as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or veterinarian who needs hands on experience with a variety of species.

Internship Description

- Assist in monitoring sanctuary animals for signs of illness.
- Assist in medicating sanctuary animals.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating veterinary visits.
- Assist in veterinary record keeping and note taking.
