Duke

**** THIS DOG IS A COURTESY LISTING AND WAYWARD RANCH HAS NOT MET OR EVALUATED THE DOG. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING HIM SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT THE LINK BELOW AND APPROVED APPLICANTS WILL BE PUT IN TOUCH WITH HIS CURRENT FAMILY FOR NEXT STEPS. WAYWARD RANCH IS NOT LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS ADOPTION.***

Duke is one big handsome guy and sadly his family is forced to regime him through no fault of his own. He is an adult Great Dane/English Mastiff mix who is reported to be a bit timid with new people and dogs but warms up to new people with a little time and patience, as is typical for the breeds. He currently lives with another dog and a 1 year old child and does well with both. He is housebroken but does have separation anxiety so would benefit from a new family that is prepared to help manage that behavior. He is in great health but recently had a case of happy tail that required surgical removal of part of his tail. He is reported to have healed well but is not a fan of having his tail touched so may do best with older kids who can understand and respect that boundary.

Wayward Ranch has no further details on Duke at this time as he is a courtesy listing, so if you are interested in adopting your first step is to submit an application at waywardranch.org and approved adopters will be put in touch with his current family. Should no new family be found in time, Duke is scheduled to come into the care of Wayward Ranch on 6/17, but we'd much prefer to not make such a sweet sensitive boy go through being surrendered to rescue if we can find a home for him first!
