Sandy, Sparkles, and Tiny
Sandy, the gray tabby, went from being a feral kitten living with his family outside an abandoned house, to here with us, in our cat room, with humans who keep trying to pet him and other cats who keep trying to play with him and he is VERY confused about this complete change in his day to day life and isn’t sure he likes it.
Because of this, Sandy will need a family who understands why he’s so shy, but also one who will stay consistent in his socializing so that he learns that people mean good things.
Luckily he’s pretty easily drawn into playing, either with his siblings or with string toys, so it shouldn’t take too long to win him over, and he’s already so much better than he was when they first arrived!
Sparkles, the wide awake orange kitten, is definitely the spunkiest of the three siblings and isn’t afraid to let someone know when he doesn’t want something, usually by hissing and trying to run away. However, once you catch him and he realized that he is getting pet, he usually settles down, unless you happen to make eye contact with him, then he hisses again to let you know that he’s only letting this happen but he’s not thrilled about it.
He is however, thrilled to play with and chase toys around the room, so that’s how we’ve been trying to win him over, balancing the cuddling time with the playtime and he’s already come a long way from the scared hissy baby he was when he came to us a few weeks ago.
Tiny, the second orange kitten, is the chillest of his siblings and is the one who’s accepted his new lifestyle the fastest. He’s still not super thrilled about these humans who keep waking him up from his naps to pet him, but he’s accepted that it’s a part of his life now.
He loves to play with his siblings and you’ll see him wrestling with them usually right around 6 or 7 pm, when they get their zoomies and go crazy for a bit, otherwise he can usually be found napping, curled up with his brother, Sandy, or his mom, Saffron.
We think these three are about 3 months old, so they aren’t quite ready to go home just yet, but they will be as soon as they’re neutered. We’re hoping that by mid-october they’ll be ready to go to their forever homes and would love to have those homes lined up beforehand. We would love for the brothers to be adopted together, but if that’s not possible, we are looking to place them in homes with other cats.
They will all be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations by the time they’re ready to go home, so if you want to be considered to be their forever home, the time to apply is now! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for each of them we are asking for a donation of $250.
